Itinerary description
This hike will take you to another corner of the Tosohatchee WMA. I hiked up and around and then back on part of the Florida Trail. There is a wide variety of Eco-systems in this area - from tall pines to some of the nicest cypress trees around. There are a couple of GEOCaches (www.geocaching.com) to be found in the area. I found it to be a pretty easy hike, especially in cooler weather. I did see a few deer etc the day I was out there. I have been to the area many times, seeing again, all kinds of things. You can extend the hike in any number of directions as there are many trails and roads in the area. As with many areas in Florida, be aware that hunting is allowed at different times of the year. I advise you to wear bright colors, mainly orange, to be safe. Hunting is really not a major worry, just a concern. You can get hunting information from the web or stop in at the main office to ask what is going on. Happy trails............

Hi Tom,
I found this trail post to be very helpful in choosing a route to take. The trail is in great shape and well marked. I did the whole loop including the spur in an hour and a half. I took a bunch of pix, and stopped a couple of times to smell the roses, so to speak. I did do some power walking at times to get a bit of arobics.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to post this info.
