Itinerary description

Another area of Tosohatchee rarely visited. A friend and I found this way into the area after looking around for quite a while. As with many areas of Tosohatchee, it can be wet in different spots at different times of the year. To access the area, park on Yates Road, hike out to an underpass on RT528. Once south of RT528 you might come across some small creeks, look for log bridges to cross. These tracks represent one of our visits to the area, there is a lot to explore. Do not try to access the area directly from RT528 or RT520 as this is protected land.

Thanks for finding a very neat place and showing it to us, I found it through Yates Rd. The pond is beautiful and pristine. But what got my heart going was a close encounter with the resident gator. Thankfully he was a as afraid of me as I of him, and off into t water he went. Thanks for a great hiking spot!
