Itinerary description

Comune di Torrebruna "The path of the springs takes up ancient mountain paths and is characterized by the presence of various naturalistic environments. The itinerary winds through open pastures, beech woods, pine woods, chestnut woods and mixed woods which constitute the habitat of some species of typical Apennine fauna. Sightings of buzzards, kites, jays, squirrels, roe deer, foxes, wild boars, badgers and recently also of Apennine wolves are not uncommon."

This was our third time hiking this trail and we truly enjoy it each time. As we have recently moved closer in a neighboring town, it is only 20 minutes from home. Going in counterclockwise direction from the chapel, it heads up through one of our favorites forests, many fountains along the way and on the descent. It was a windy day and cool day that we did it this past week, but we had the trail to ourselves and all the views.
