A very complete journey departing from Picton at 8 am with a ferry contracted on the I-Site with the payment of the fee as it is a private area.
The ride lasts only 40 'on the solitary Torea Bay and we will look for the main Track going up the track asphalted up to a hill with a memorial in memory of the young people in the area who lost their lives in World War I .
Once on the main road we will skirt and continue the ridge in the NE direction going through good forests and large viewpoints, with very good views of Kenepuru Sound and Queen Ckarlotte Sound. We can stop at the 2 campsites of the route: Black Rock and Bay of Many Coves with their respective toilets.
- The route is quite broken and you have to keep it in mind although it has no technical difficulty.
- Also less in summer we can find bicycles although there is not much problem because the path is quite wide.
- If we are going well in time, there is the possibility to go to the Eatwells viewpoint as it is the highest point of the route.
- Once in Camp Bay we can eat or take something in a very cozy bar where the Ferry arrives (1 hour back to Picton)
