Itinerary description
This short loop hike is signposted as being 2.2km. But we didn't know there were multiple car parks, and so we pulled into the first one we came to, which turned out to be way further back than the start point and this added to the overall length of the hike as recorded here. not to worry though, you walk along the river between each carpark, so it's still very nice!
The hike is beautiful. And the waterfalls are impressive. I would recommend going in the opposite direction and doing Amphitheater Falls first, as Toorongo falls are bigger and you want to save the best for last.
We went during summer holidays and the falls were well-visited - especially Toorongo, as some visitors were not doing the full loop. If you want a quieter experience, try another time of year!
