Itinerary description

We drove with our motercycles to the old police station to start our trek. At the old police station there are several locals selling agua panella and other snacks to recover after the trek. The day we hiked up started very bright and we had a great vieuw at the feet of the volcano towards the top but it can change very fast. While we where ascending, conditions changed and once we where close to the top we had once in a while a clear vieuw followed by dense clouds and fogs with little rain. It's also very chilly up there with heavy winds so good rain and windproof clothes are not a exaggerate luxe.
I am used to hike withoud a guide but as it is a holy mountain you need to go with a local Kokonucos guide who can tell you a lot about the history of the area. It's really a trek to recommand
