Itinerary description
I have done the complete Tour de Mont Blanc anti clockwise in ten stages. All ten stages are named “TMB Stage x – From - To” if you are interested in all of them.
Day 1. Charmonix – Bionnassay
Day 2. Bionnassay – Nant Borrand
Day 3. Nant Borrand – Les Chapieux
Day 4. Les Chapieux – La Fodze
Day 5. La Fodze – Courmayeur - Lavachey
Day 6. Lavachey – Ferret
Day 7. Ferret – Val D’Arpette
Day 8. Val D’Arpette – Trient
Day 9. Trient – Le Tour
Day 10. Le Tour – Chamonix
This is a long Stage with quite much altitude gain as well. After about 5 km you reach the small village La Ville des Glaciers where you can buy Beaufort cheese directly from the production - good idea.
Just follow the TMB waymarks all the way up to the Col de la Seigne, that takes you to Italy, and down to the Combal Lake Bridge.
A short detour to Lac de Miage is Worth the effort if you feel strong and motivated enough.
From here we took left along an easy walked track until a final climb up to Refuge Monte Bianco - awesome views over the Mountains and glaciers of the South side of Mont Blanc massif.
