Itinerary description
Amazing hike over two days. Stayed about 2/3 of the way in a guesthouse.
Take a bus from Lijiang early in the morning (~2h). Pay the entrance ticket and follow the signs for the trailhead. Hike for most of the day (~5-6h) until you reach a guesthouse of your liking, then enjoy the views and rest overnight. The following morning, finish the hike (~3-4h, mostly downhill) to the road junction and catch a bus back to Lijiang (~3h).

Followed the trail today, still up to do date from the beginning.
Apparently, Jane passed away in 2019 so the place is closed.
The road a bit after that start became asphalt, so you could skip it and get right to a better start point.
Most people we met starts at the Naxi family guest house, a bit north in the valley. That help you skip the highway/ railroad bridges view.
