Itinerary description

Þórisdalur separates the Þórisjökull icecap from the main body of the Langjökull icecap. It is completely barren but despite this the hike is worth the effort (which is considerable - it's a long stretch). I'd give it an easy rating except for the distance, lack of water on long stretches and the barrenness. As usual (for Iceland) access is a big issue - 4x4s definitely required at both ends.
