Itinerary description
Just a super simple out n' back along the PCT SoBo from the Hwy 74 parking area.
We almost always hike NoBo from here because we love the rock gardens heading into Penrod Canyon. We just decided to change it up this time. My wife was 9 months pregnant and we were just trying to get some exercise and, frankly, get her into labor.
So, it was more of an easy stroll than any kind of hike.

Rear trail to Paradise Valley Vafe
This was marked with a red cardboard arrow pointing West. It's basically just a fire break/maintenance road under some power lines that allows you to walk to the cafe on a trail instead of a roadwalk on a busy highway with no shoulder.

Where the PCT crosses Hwy 74. You can call the cafe from here if you have a cell and they will come pick you up and give you a free ride to the cafe.
