Itinerary description
A trail primarily going along the river l'Ourthe (occidentale), with several nice views, and virtually no road traffic. You follow three trails marked with a blue losange (and a non-marked connection between the two of them).
You start with the trail number 2 in the village of Warempage and go through fields, then go downhill through a beautiful leafy forest (the path here goes steeply downhill and is slippery). After reaching the river at km 3, you go along it for the next few kilometres. At km 5.8 you start going up through a mainly coniferous forest to reach fields again (where you are rewarded with a view on the valley).
At km 7.65 you leave the trail number 2 and instead of coming back to the starting point you start following trail number 3. You go towards a hill which was inhabited in old times (le Cheslin), and then at km 9 leave the marked trail to descend to the level of the river.
You continue along the river and after reaching N834 (Roche-Bertogne), you turn uphill right (km 10.5), where you start following trail number 4 (though, there were not many markings at the time we did the trail). You go uphill through a dwarf forest, then fields and a village to arrive to Warempage.
Good shoes recommended, as at places the trail is wet and muddy.
