Itinerary description
A most beautiful walk. Two water refill spots (a stream and Crystal Falls) on the way. There is a shallow pool at the bottom of Crystal Falls on a warm day.
The Sphinx is just 300m past Crystal Falls, with the most spectacular views. It's well worth carrying on and walking up to the top. From the top of the Sphinx there are gorgeous views back down the Champagne Valley.

Great walk for those who are a little fitter!! Easy start then some uphill to the Sphinx, some great view spots to take in the surrounding countryside. Then downhill all the way back to Champagne Castle.

Good intermediate walk - combination of inclines and relatively flat areas on shaded and open trails. Great scenary & photo opportunities. Take at your own pace.

Relatively easy trail/walk that serves up a nice reward at the waterfall, and just around the corner some good views from the sphinx.

Very nice hike, with beautiful views. Including on the hotel. Not difficult or dangerous.
Great trail, magnificent views. Worth every step
It is my 2nd time on this trail. The first time was with the hotel guide about 5 years ago and I had forgotten some parts of the trail. Two of the 3 rock outlook resting points, just before Crystal Falls, were overgrown with vegetation and seemed a bit dangerous to get there just to take pictures. The only recommendation to the caretakers of this trail is to update some of the signs to say Crystal Falls and not The Sphinx when the trail has not reached the Falls. The sign located by a y-junction, indicating the path back to the hotel was well placed.
