Itinerary description
On the way home from the walk in the Cooley Mountains on 24 July 2011, we stopped off at the Ballymascanlon House Hotel for a meal. We discovered that the Proleek Dolmen dating back to 3000 years BC is about 1km from the hotel. The 2km walk, and well worth the visit. The meal in the hotel was also very good.
En camino a casa después de hacer senderismo en la Montañas de Cooley en la parte norte del Condado de Louth en Irlanda, fuimos al Ballymascanlon House Hotel para comer. Descubrimos que hay un Dolmen (The Proleek Dolmen) construido por una comunidad agrícola unos 3000 años antes de Cristo esta a un paseo de un km desde el hotel. La visita vale la pena. La cena en el hotel también fue muy buena.
