This track is recorded in high resolution with an error of less than 3m.
The mountain is famous for the monoliths of basaltic origin found on the top and the best known is the Old Man of Storr, 55 meters high. Its neighbor is not as tall and massive, in fact it resembles a blade and has two holes, one of which, taken from the right angle, has the shape of a heart. Ideal for Valentine's Day.
A simple route for almost everyone, where it is practically impossible to get lost. A wide track where the climb is often replaced with stone stairways. It seems more like a tourist route than a mountain path 😉.
Once you reach the highest point, the view is just over 180° limited by The Oldman Storr massif behind but it does not detract from the spectacular nature of the views.
In the absence of snow and ice it does not require special equipment. High collar poles and boots are recommended.
Water: half a liter or according to season and training.
It started snowing at the summit and this suggested we speed up the return.
