Itinerary description

A trail out to Victoria Arch which is a large hole thru a rock. This walk makes use of rough rock climber tracks most of the way to the Mordor rock climbing wall on the south end of the maze. After an easy 3km hike along a sandy trail, you leave this to start bush-bashing for the remainder of the approach. This is very slow going, plan for < 2km/h, not recommended for people without GPX track as it is very disorientating with above-head scrub. Also, be sure to wear gators and long clothes and gloves as 50% of the scrub is nastily prickly. When exiting The Maze, you have to up-and-over a small gorge on your left, and again drop into an even tight gorge with a tricky exit into the valley. Packs have to removed and pushed through.

Strongly recommend planning for a 10 hour hike day
