Circular route that will take us from the parking lot of the ski resort of the Cairngorms National Park, in the center of Scotland, to the top of the mountain that has the same name down the track that we have to the right of the path of the ascent and that crosses one of the ski slopes and the route of the rack that goes from the base station to the station of Ptarmigan.
We have to keep in mind that in winter the place becomes a ski slope and we will have to follow the rules that are dictated in the facilities.
The route is well signposted and part of the accumulated unevenness has no difficulty. We will access the ski resort arriving in the village of Aviemore where we will find indicators that will take us towards the station in about twenty minutes from the village. Once parked in the parking lot, the path of the ascent will be followed by the windy ridge path up to the top. We can take the path either to the left or to the left of the base station or from the parking lot where there are some stone stairs on the left side of it as you enter the vehicle. We will follow the paved road to the Ptarmigan station where we can take a snack and register (they will force us if we want to enter) or move on up to the top of the mountain where we will only stay for about 500 meters getting there. Once at the top of the Cairngorm we have the possibility of doing the other two peaks in the area by cresting along a circular route, the Ben Macdui and the Braeriach. From the top of the Cairngorm summit we will have views of all the Glenmore Forest Park, the Loch (lake) Morlich and the Spey River.
Along the way there is not a single tree so if we choose a sunny day, it will be necessary to wear a good cap or some sun shield. Water can be found at the base station and the Ptarmigan station.

Begin goede paden middelmatig steil. Later over grindpaden over smalle bruggetjes of stenen de weg vervolgen. Neem regenkleding mee het weer kan zo omslaan.
