Itinerary description

Did this hike on Sept 17, 2015, and the roads were dry and in good shape. You need a high clearance vehicle to get close to the actual trail head at the footbridge crossing Stratton Brook. Most vehicles park about 1/3 mile before the TH on the right. We ascended via the Fire Wardens Trail, then took the AT south (along the ridge is really westerly), and down via Horn Pond trail and then the Firewardens Trail. This is a great hike. The rating of Difficult is due to its length and elevation gain.
