Itinerary description
Even-though the weather was a bit dull for much of the day.... this stretch of the Beara Way is the nicest walk done so far in the area.
The trail skirts the coast line from Allihies towards Dursey Island and when up high the views are spectacular.
At 4.5km there is an option to head towards Lehanemore and see the other side of the peninsula. (I went a little off track here... best to stay with the official route if going in this direction).
Between 3.1km & 3.6km there is a bit of a climb.
Should one be traveling from the other direction then reaching the high level ground is not as steep.
