Itinerary description
In Iceland there are a number of places that have black beaches, but Stokksnes is probably the one with the best conserved beaches. When I was there the weather was rainy, but even then these beaches were a fun visit. Especially the cliffs have a nice look and are sometimes compared with a natural cathedral. It's a really nice place to take some pretty pictures, but the disadvantage is that it's also a very busy place. Even with bad weather in September in the Covid era there were hundreds of people here.
