This section offers great views. As it is mainly up hill, the estimated time to complete it will depend on your physical condition. Consider setting a camp in Las Minas valley as it is the only place suitable. There are many springs along the way, except for the last part, on the ascension crossing to Aguas calientes valley. Be aware of the Enduro motorcycle tracks on the volcanic hills, do not follow them unless they go along horse footprints.
