Itinerary description
Previously I did trekking to Beran gali and got back by Jeep or trekked back from the same route. This time we decided to trek back by passing through another jeep trek via Nanhyal.
This is basically a one night camp trekking adventure as 32km with 1200m elevation is not possible in a day.
We parked our car at Thandiani top near camping pods. You can approach this area either by your own car or take Suzuki van from Abbotabad, depending on your budget. The parking is fairly safe so it is best to park your car at top.
From the top you have to go down about 3Km where you will find the fork. Take left from here and go up the hill. After 15 mins walk, you will find a shelter or man made construction which was once forest guest house on the right side of the road. Take the righ and you will be on the hiking trek. Just after a kilometre or so you would hit the dense forest. Generally, you won't encounter people on the trek. The Beeran Gali guesthouse is about 11 Kms from the first guesthouse. The leg to Beeran Gali is easy as it is mostly down the hill walk. However, trekking back can be very challenging.
Water and other food supplies aren't much of a problem as you will pass through several villages and you can find general stores on your way.
The people of the locality are generally very friendly and welcoming.
