Itinerary description
We made this hike a week after great floods, caused by Daniel storm. The water level was still high, fields flooded. Many roads were closed, including the main highway A1 and also the road along Pineios river. Thus, the recommended starting point at Agia Praskevi was not accessible, and we started from the eastern end of the trail, near Tempon bridge. We walked up the trail with beautiful vews over the ravine. But - we could see that parts of the road on the river side are flooded, and it was impossible to come back on the riverside, as we intended. So, when we reched the point where the path descends to the river, we turned back and returned the same way we came. Certainly, the upper part of the trail is the most beautiful, so we did not miss much.
The trail is beautiful (though the marking is not always obvious), there are many places where a narrow path is rather exposed. The vews on the river and ravine are breathtaking.
We have met no one on this beautiful trail.
