Itinerary description

Start at Buller Street car park. From the bridge follow the river inland. The Te Henui Cemetery is a great detour especially in spring when it is part of the Taranaki Garden Festival. At Cumberland Street Cross the road bridge and continue inland following the river. Take the Junction road exit and cross the Highway and enter the school grounds. Don't take the dirt track loop as we made a mistake. Once you enter Brooklands Park there are lots of choices to meander through the park. There are toilets and refreshments by the lake. Then take any roads back to the start or head straight down to the coast and follow the coastal walkway back to the start.
