Day of walking towards the Nanga Prabat base camp.
Departure at 7:30 a.m., but my partner is ill. We are moving slowly. The beginning is a walk through a forest and pastures. At the view point my partner gives up and goes back down on horseback.
From the view point, the path is narrow and runs along the side of the cliff between the glacier and the summit. The last half hour is pastures again. The path is not very clear and I got a little lost before finding the right path
Arrival at base camp at 1 p.m. At the base camp, there is no activity because no one is climbing Nanga Prabat.
On the way there are several small shops or restaurants but the only one that is open is the one at the view point. There are several water points available on the route including at the base camp.
The return journey is done in one go in 2h30.
