Itinerary description

Beautiful walk in the surroundings of Zermatt. Starts from the village of Tasch (1450 m), rises to 2800m on the slopes of Rothorn and then reaches Stellisee lake with its famous view of the Matterhorn. The itinerary combines different marked paths (see http://www.zermatt.ch/en/page.cfm/experience/summer_activities/hiking ), generally easy to walk. The exception is the path that leads directly to Zermatt from Sunnegga that is well marked but is very steep (advisable to take two sticks). From Zermatt, we took the train to return to Tasch.

Besides the ubiquitous Cervino / Matterhorn, you have good views of the Monte Rosa (Liskamm, Castor, Pollux), Weisshorn, etc..

Preciosa caminata en el entorno de Zermatt. Parte del pueblo de Täsch (1450 m), sube hasta 2800m en las laderas del Rothorn y alcanza luego el lago Stellisee, con sus famosas vistas del Cervino. El itinerario combina diferentes sendas balizadas (ver http://www.zermatt.ch/en/page.cfm/experience/summer_activities/hiking), en general fáciles de transitar. La excepción la constituye el sendero que baja directamente de Sunnegga a Zermatt que aunque está bien marcada es muy pendiente (recomendable llevar dos bastones). Desde Zermatt, nosotros cogimos el tren para volver a Täsch.

Además del omnipresente Cervino/Matterhorn, se tienen buenas vistas del macizo del Monte Rosa (Liskamm, Castor, Pólux), Weisshorn, etc.
