Itinerary description
We started and ended on Porcupine Ridge Road, the first part of the walk was along part of the Great Dividing trail, this takes you through some great heritage areas, old ruins are evident, follow this track all the way to Wewalk track which is a well maintained dirt road, about a klm along turn off to the left along the loop track and follow this all the way back. All trails are well marked, probably the hardest part was getting to the start, we had intended to ford the creek at Vaughan to reach Porcupine Ridge road but it was to deep for the vehicle, we then followed Kemp road to Talilta road and on to Porcupine Ridge road.
The GDT is a great walk, we are gradually doing it in stages.
PS. The GDT turns left just before Wewalk and comes out further up Wewalk, this wasn't on the maps that we had, use this track for a short cut.
