Passing through Tam Cốc, the most typical and beautiful route in the area is the one that runs around Hang Múa (Mua Cave). After visiting and getting to know Tràng An, we approach this beautiful place, where a viewpoint allows us to get the best image of Tam Cốc.
START:
We arrived by motorcycle to the parking lot at the entrance to Hang Múa (Mua Cave). Careful! Do not stop before, despite finding several Vietnamese who desperately try to get you to park your motorcycle or bike before arriving, charging you a small amount. It is possible to advance to the entrance, being able to leave the transport with which you enter there. Right there we will pay the entrance fee and begin the route.
DESCRIPTION:
The first part runs along a very comfortable path that is being prepared for tourism. They are modifying the access to make it much more beautiful, installing benches, gardens, swings, gazebos, etc. We don't hesitate to enjoy the views and get on one of the swings they have!
We continue the route crossing a bridge to access the small lagoon, at the foot of the large stone masses that support the different viewpoints.
After crossing the bridge, in a few seconds, we reach the height of the aforementioned lagoon, where we find another hanging swing and the detour to the right that we must follow to reach the viewpoints. The environment is fantastic!
We go around the beautiful lagoon until we reach the Tiger Cave, not too deep and with a sculpture of a tiger.
After leaving Tiger Cave behind, we reach the stairs that will guide us to the viewpoints. Right here we find a kind of laundry and a small beach bar, where we can buy water and something else. So far, very easy and without any effort.
We begin the ascent! Hundreds of stone steps, some higher than others, to reach the most spectacular point of Tam Cốc! At the beginning, a huge and beautiful dragon welcomes us!
After overcoming the first flight of stairs, we reach the detour that will separate us from one mountain to another. First, we chose to approach the mountain on the right, lower and less known.
We began the ascent, also using stone steps. Little by little we are gaining height! Access to the first viewpoint is very beautiful and the remains of a wall accompany us.
In a few minutes we are at the highest part, reaching an exceptional natural viewpoint. Tam Cốc at our feet and incredible views! The main mountain of Hang Múa (Mua Cave) and much of our surroundings are visible! At the viewpoint, a wooden chair allows us to take the occasional funny photo.
After visiting the first viewpoint, we retrace this small section until we reach the detour.
We continue the route climbing the rest of the steps until we reach the upper part of Hang Múa (Mua Cave). A short, but demanding climb! The views we are having are beautiful!
After finishing the steps, we reach the upper part of Hang Múa (Mua Cave)! Firstly, an exceptional viewpoint over Tam Cốc and the course of the most famous river, traveled by rowing boat by most tourists. The mountains full of vegetation, spectacular greenery and sublime views!
After visiting the first viewpoint, we access a kind of balcony and the highest point of Hang Múa (Mua Cave), where we find a second dragon. From here, although the views are very similar, the height allows us to obtain a 360-degree panoramic view. Special attention when climbing to this point, as it may be necessary to use your hands occasionally. We really enjoyed the views that this point offers and we don't hesitate to have a good time up here! The place is fascinating!
After contemplating all the surroundings of Hang Múa (Mua Cave), it's time to return. We will take the return route the same way we went. We will descend the hundreds of steps, being careful not to slip and fall, and we will return, surrounding the beautiful lagoon and completing the section near the entrance, where we will conclude the route.
CONCLUSION:
Without a doubt, Hang Múa (Mua Cave) is the most spectacular place to contemplate the views offered by the entire Tam Cốc environment. Rivers, valleys and mountains full of color! A very pleasant walk that is well worth completing. The panoramic view obtained from the highest point is not easily forgotten. Highly recommended!
