Itinerary description

A very scenic hike. We wanted to take a taxi or hitchhike to Asgaour but had no luck. Regardless, for an experienced hiker, walking from Tafraoute should still be doable. Perhaps if you leave earlier than 8:15 am, then it can give you more time to explore once up in the mountains. Otherwise, the best would probably be to get a ride to the roundabout and start your hike there. I started recording a while after we began walking (hoping we'd get a ride!). We were able to find a ride in our way back as you can see from the recorded trail.

The trail at the beginning is nonexistent and it's the same at various points during the hike. Mainly after reaching the second pass and just before getting to the kasbah. Other than that, it's well-marked and easy to follow. I'd say it's a difficult hike if you're not very experienced as the altitude gain and distance is a lot. I found it to be moderate with steady elevation gain. Nothing too extraneous. It'd be such an adventure to camp by the kasbah and do day hikes. Magnificent views and in the afternoon, the massive granite rocks look like they're lava!

Bonjour.

1) Tagdich. 2) Ait Iftene. 3) Anergui. Pour tout le 3 chemin est tres agreable.
