Itinerary description
Straightforward mostly. Sometimes a little difficult to find the track when in the hills
Very big, straightforward track leaving Tafraout and heading north west over a pass towards the Ammeln Valley
Just before the main track climbs again, turn left (south) and follow the valley floor. Pass an oasis of trees and palms, and watch for and listen to many birds and other wildlife
Ignore some ambiguous blue arrows painted on the rocks just before a small climb. At the summit I wandered off the track to find a nice rock for lunch
Continue south and drop down into the Tafraout Valley
At this point it's a boring 4km walk to Tafraout along the main road, so head through small villages and palmeries, enjoy a view of picture postcard pretty Aday village and mosque en route to the rock gazelle carving
Easy walk back to Tafraout from the gazelle
