Itinerary description
The track Taffys rock is not a NPWS marked walk. After leaving the Great North Walk track at the top of Jerusalem Bay Track behind the track sign, you need to follow the cairns that mark the route. If you follow the ridge line you can make it to taffys rock and back. This rock outcrop has 360 spectacular degree views over Pittwater and Brooklyn. Look out for signs of aboriginal foot engravings while on the rock. To make it from Cowan to Taffys rock and back you need to start at 08:00 and finishing time will be 16:30 at the earliest. Total distance is 14km. WARNING ⚠️ As this track has no clear markings and follows a ridge line, it shouldn’t be attempted by walkers with limited navigation skills, without telling someone where you are walking or poor fitness.
