Itinerary description
We started walking from a famous trail in Islamabad called trail 3. Towards the end of our hike, we turned right and followed trail 5A, then joined trail 5B which leads to Murad Shah on the main Pir Sohawa Road. At the mosque in Murad Shah, we filled our water bottles and bladder using a filter. I suggest other hikers do the same to make sure the water is safe to drink. The water tasted okay. From Murad Shah, we took the path that goes to Tilla. After about 1 kilometer, there's a junction with many different trails. If you take the straight one on the left, it leads to Ratta Hottar Shareef and Bari Imam. This part of the trail is rocky and we didn't enjoy it much. When you reach the bottom, there's another junction. One path goes to Ratta Hottar and the slightly left one goes to Bari Imam. Since the Ratta Hottar trail is overgrown and not well-kept, we chose to go to Bari Imam instead.
