Itinerary description
This is the old path which used to be the main road that connected the Plateau of Lassithi to the province of Mirabello. For hundreds of years it was the area’s "national" road. We begin our hike (on those parts of the path that have withstood time) from the village of Exo Potamoi and the fresh water spring or from the Plateau of Lassithi and the village of Mesa Lassithi.
Almost the entire route follows the path on the mountain slopes and it even crosses the only single-arch bridge found in the municipality.
No matter which starting point we choose, the unique beauty of the land and the views are definitely worth it.
