Itinerary description
This is a nice easy .8 mile hike (each way) to see some great petroglyphs in Lava Beds National Monument. I recommend you hike all the way from the trail head to Symbol Bridge. After visiting the natural bridge (actually, a very short lava tube), make your way back and visit Painted Cave. This cave has additional petroglyphs. It also had a hawk or falcon eyrie about 20' up the wall.
