Itinerary description

18 degrees at night. Easy, gradual climb to bear basin meadow about 5 miles in. Another 1.3 miles to our random campsite, on a plateau. Gorgeous stars and moonrise. Very cold. We had to turn back due to lack of insulation. Bummer! Very pretty though.
