Itinerary description

Start at Sveinstindur hut on a footpath up the hill behind, walk then down to the lavasand valley. The ascent from here is steep but easy despite a small rocky belt and the last 50 metres to the top.
You get an overwhelming view of the Langisjór lake and Vatnajökull glacier not before you reach the top. The arrival is as like as the curtain opens and the best concert ever begins.
