Itinerary description
The big lake Van Gölü is surrounded by high mountain ranges. The highest mountain is the vulcano Süphan. For the ascent, a permission by the police in Adilcevaz as well as a local mountain guide are required. There no particular technical difficulties. However, it´s a long and exhausting hike. We started at 3am in the darkness and returned in the early afternoon.
