Itinerary description

Our first route through Vietnam! During our stay on the beautiful island of Phú Quốc, we were going to explore a large part of it, both by motorcycle and on foot. Natural landscapes, forests, beaches, rivers and waterfalls. The rainy season is noticeable and the waterfalls look spectacular. We're going to see one, the Suối Đá Bàn waterfall!
START:
Located in the center of the island and with good access, we reach its parking lot by motorcycle, where we find a kind of restaurant where we can buy something. Parking is paid, although it is a symbolic price.
DESCRIPTION:
We started walking past the entrance building. A local tells us where we should continue, so we start the route without problems.
We will have the first objective close, towards the waterfall that we find in front, without any loss. We quickly realize that we will be immersed in nature! A large river opens its way in front of us and a unique suspension bridge to our right will show us the direction to follow. We must cross it! A charming place!
After crossing the suspension bridge, we turn right, this being the only point where we must pay attention to avoid choosing the wrong path. In this way, we will continue along a comfortable path towards Suối Đá Bàn.
We pass by a kind of store where we can buy something and we continue. The trail is clear and has no loss or difficulty, although it is quite muddy. We are passing the area without problems.
Small puddled areas and sections where the water runs is a pleasure! Good waterproof footwear or mountain sandals will be the best options to complete the route. In our case, mountain sandals!
We continue along the beautiful path, full of vegetation on both sides. We do not have great views, as the path is well protected. Maximum humidity, so it is advisable to be hydrated!
After just over half a kilometer, we arrive at Suối Đá Bàn, a beautiful and long waterfall. It is not particularly high, but there are several areas of waterfalls and large pools where you can bathe and cool off. The water runs strongly and the rainy season is noticeable! We did not hesitate to cross the wide river several times, enjoying the different heights of the waterfall. Suối Đá Bàn is a place of enjoyment for locals and Vietnamese, choosing this place as a point for leisure meetings, to spend the day, etc. It's a shame that it is a country with somewhat primitive cleaning customs. The area is full of dirt and garbage, a shame!
After properly enjoying the surroundings and Suối Đá Bàn, we just have to return to the parking lot along the same way we came. On the way back, after crossing the suspension bridge, time to cool off and rinse your feet in the river!
After the short route, we returned to the parking lot where we had left the motorcycle, ending the route.
CONCLUSION:
One of the most typical routes on the island of Phú Quốc. A must stop! A very comfortable path and suitable for all audiences! A spectacular environment and a very beautiful waterfall! Suối Đá Bàn did not disappoint us! Although yes, and a lot, the large amount of dirt we found.
