It is located within Jasper National Park, in the province of Alberta. A few meters from the start of the route there is a gorge with a bridge from which we can see the first one married to the Canadian Rockies in the background. The Sunwapta Falls are not exactly waterfalls that stand out for their magnitude, as they have a drop of 18 meters and a width of 9.1 meters, however the fast and turquoise waters of the Sunwapta River, a major tributary of the Athabasca River, has its charm. Precisely the word Sunwapta in Stoney language means "turbulent river".
