This super short trail complements a quick visit to the Big Thicket National Preserve very well because at least during my visit, on the Pitcher plant trail I didn't see any Drosera, and this one specifically has that name. The access road is in better condition, the trail is much flatter and more accessible and it even has an audio guide of what is seen in each section of the trail in 2 languages. You can see with a good eye the Drosera brevifolia and also some Sarracenia alata, however not as beautiful as those on the other path. This trail is also free and entry is allowed at any time of the day, it has parking, a bathroom and a larger covered picnic area. More information can be obtained at the park office a few kilometers south of here.
