Itinerary description
Three day trek of Sumaco. Both nights spent at the 2nd shelter. GPS inaccuracy has inflated the mileage; the actual round trip mileage is closer to 20 miles.

Good afternoon, did you hire a guide? Is the road marked?
We did have a guide. The trail is not marked, but I would not expect it to be hard to follow. However, I do not believe climbing Sumaco without a guide is allowed. Guides are generally required within Ecuador's National Parks.
