Itinerary description
This track is part of the Sultanstrail, a cultural long-distance hiking trail between Vienna and Istanbul. This track leads through the Eastern Rhodope, a rather deserted area with ancient roots. It roughly follows the Arda river. Along the way is passes the interesting natural phenomena of the Wedding Stones, the ancient Thracian city of Perperikon, ancient Thracian tombs and lovely river resorts.
