Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail. Harrisman State Park.
Climbing areas, especially the Pyngyp part. Difficult trail, especially if you carry a lot of weight, and very few places to replenish water.
Shelter at Big Hill, 17.5 km.
In shelter there is no water. Load into the Third Reservoir.
There is also some water in Tiorati Brook, near the Palisades Parkway interchange and on both sides of the Kanawauke Rd interchange
Many springs and streams are usually dry, except in times of melting ice or heavy rains.
