I have made this route moderate, not because of the technical difficulty but because it is long. No difficulty.
Usually people do the first two lakes and turn back or else continue to the refuge beyond and spend the night there.
For logistical reasons I did not spend the night in the refuge, but I did not stay in the first two lakes either. My intention was to get to the shelter and return. I stayed 40 minutes from the refuge, clouds were coming and the turn was left, so I turned around. A shame Still the tour is breathtakingly beautiful.
If you are going to do this long stage, take into account the weather forecast and bring enough water.
It starts from Planina Blato. To go up from Bohinj you have to pay a toll of 10 euros and park upstairs where you can best. Avoid weekends.
