STROMBOLI (VOLCÀ-VOLCANO): Scari-Pizzo (cim-summit)-Le Croci-Rina Grande-Scari

Ascensió al cim del volcà Stromboli per a contemplar la seva activitat nocturna, amb els corprenedors brams que emet i les explosions magmàtiques, al bell mig d'una illa minúscula, amb el mar i la posta de sol per horitzó... un espectacle salvatge, únic, d'aquells que s'ha de veure un cop a la vida (us aconsello fer un cop d'ull al vídeo adjuntat!)

COMPTE: Està prohibit l'ascens al volcà sense un guia autoritzat. De tal manera que cal dirigir-se a les empreses que ofereixen el guiatge fins al cim per a reservar i pagar l'excursió. En el nostre cas vam fer l'excursió amb Magmatrek

L'excursió no és tècnicament complicada però cal tenir un xic de forma si no es vol patir en excés (com alguna de la gent que s'hi apunta, ja que les empreses no fan cap filtre, excepte el que paguis...).

Cal tenir en compte que es pugen més de 900 metres en un tram prou curt, i el pendent a voltes és pronunciat (malgrat els guies pugen lentament i fent força parades). Un cop al cim cal tenir en compte que, encara que sigui ple estiu, sempre hi fa fred (cal dur roba que abrigui una mica). I per a la baixada, aquesta és molt ràpida i pronunciada per un terreny de cendres i restes del volcà cosa que fa que s'aixequi moltíssima pols. Els guies donen mascaretes per no respirar tanta pols, però malgrat això, entre el núvol de pols que aixequen tots els grups, i que la baixada ja es fa de nit (cal dur frontal!), i sense conèixer el camí, excepte pel guia, pot resultar un xic angoixant.

Per la meva part considero que aquests són petits inconvenients davant l'espectacle descomunal que desplega l'Stromboli. Les explosions es succeeixen, aproximadament, cada 15 minuts i són una meravella terriblement impactant de la natura. Brutal. De pell de gallina.

Es surt de la plaça San Vincenzo del menut poble d'Scari (el poble no té enllumenat elèctric!), depenent de l'època de l'any a una hora o una altra, en vistes de veure la posta de sol des del cim. Nosaltres, a finals de juny, en ple solstici estival, vam sortir cap a les 17:30.

En un parell d'hores llargues s'arriba al cim, al qual, depenent de l'activitat del volcà i dels gasos que emeti s'hi està un màxim d'1 hora. D'allà es divisa un dels majors espectacles que podem contemplar a la Terra.

Per baixar s'acaba de coronar el punt més alt (Pizzo) i es va a buscar el collet (Le Croci) que ens farà davallar de forma ràpida pel vessant sud del volcà, en baixada ràpida per un autèntic mar de cendres (Rina Grande), ja de nit, i fins a tornar al poble d'Scari.

Si no es du material, es pot llogar absolutament tot (frontal, jaquetes, botes, etc) a una botiga de la mateixa plaça San Vincenzo (visió de negoci...). El casc és facilitat per les empreses dins el preu de l'excursió.

És possible fer tota l'excursió organitzada des de l'illa de Lipari per 80€ aprox (inclou el vaixell per anar i tornar), sortint a les 11 h de Lipari i parant a l'illa de Panarea a dinar. L'arribada de nou a Lipari és prop de les 00:30 de la nit (una jornada esgotadora però que val molt i molt la pena!).

The trip is not technically complicate but you must be some fit if you do not want to suffer too much (like some of the people who get involved, as companies make no filter, except you pay ...) .

Keep in mind that rises more than 900 meters in a fairly short stretch, and the slope is steep at times (despite guides riser slowly guides and make many stops). Once at the top should be noted that, even in summer, always is cold (you have to wear something warm). And in the descent, this is a very fast and through steep terrain of volcanic ash which causes a lot of dust rise. The guides give masks to avoid breathing dust much, but despite this, the cloud of dust between all groups that raise and drop, as the night falls (you must carry headlight!), and without knowing the path, except for the guide , it can be a little distressing.

In my opinion these are minor inconveniences to the extraordinary spectacle that unfolds Stromboli. Brutal. The explosions occur approximately every 15 minutes and are a terribly shocking wonder of nature. Goosebumps! Gorgeous!

The departure is from the small town square of San Vincenzo, in Scari (the town does not have electric lighting!), Depending on the time of year the departure is at a time or another, in order to see the sunset view from the top . We, at the end of June, in the summer solstice, we went out at 17:30.

In a couple of hours you reach the top, and you stay there, depending on the activity of the volcano, a maximum of one hour. From there you can see one of the biggest events that is possible to be admired on Earth.

To go down is crowned the highest point (Pizzo) and seek the hill (Le Croci). From there we will quickly descend the southern slopes of the volcano, in a real quick descent through the sea of ​​ashes (Rina Grande ) at night, retuning to the village of Scari.

Unless carried equipment, you can rent everything (front, jackets, boots, etc.) in a store in the same plaza San Vincenzo (business vision ...). The helmet is provided by companies within the price of the trip.

Is it possible to do all the organized excursion from the island of Lipari for approx € 80 (includes the boat trip), leaving at 11 am from Lipari and stopping at Panarea island for lunch. The arrival to Lipari is about 00:30 at night (a tiring day but very, very worth it!).
