Itinerary description

This track shows an approach via the Stratton Ski Area to a trail leading to the actual summit and fire tower. We got permission to park by the First Aid Bldg (there's ample parking nearby), then headed up under the tram for about 1/3 the way. At this point there's a mid-mountain restaurant sign to the left. We turned right, and took the service road to nearly the summit. Watch for spur trails to the right - they may have a rope across them. The spur trail from the ski area's summit (or nearly so) to the actual summit is about .5 miles. On the return took a slightly more direct route down with goal of connecting to the tram lift.
