Itinerary description
Costal walk starts at the seafront near the cannon gun at the seafront in Strandhill. This is a loop walk which includes climb to Knocknarrea. The walker will enjoy stunning views of Strandhill, Benbulben mountain, Sligo bay, Raleigh and surrounding costal areas. The only strech which might be a bit hard is the ascend to Knocknarrea but it is a good even surface on the trial and there are benches to rest. It is not a strenuous climb to the cairn on the top of Knocknarrea. The ground is usually wet and mucky once on the top of the mountain so it is recommended to wear walking boots.

Nice walk - the uphill is strenuous as there are now sleepers on the second part of the uphill so quite a lot of steps. I did this in 3hr 16 min at a normalish pace. Great views from top.
