Itinerary description
Wonderful trail BUT not for those who have vertigo or get squeamish walking on narrow single-track rocky trail with sheer cliff drop-offs right next to you! *See note below.
Today we had 9 creek crossings, 6 were easy but 3 were “something to talk about” and took our pin-point attention.
Trail has lots of boulders and tough rocky areas. Some climbing of deep granite steps. This is NOT a beginner’s hike ... steep climb out!
Wildflowers were just starting to pop, but still well-worth the sparse displays.
Outhouse at parking area only.
* If leading a group hike, a good turn-around point is at mile 3.3 (for a total of 6.6mi RT). Head down the right split to the smooth boulders below for a great lunch spot.
