Itinerary description
This walk is hidden away in the Warramate Hills reserve, which is a green patch on the map just west of the Yarra Ranges, but much less crowded. The track is mostly firebreak and an access track for the Telstra tower on Briarty Hill. It goes up and down throughout but there are two particularly steep sections – one in the middle and one at the end. The one in the middle is the hardest, with about 1 km of steep incline, but you are rewarded with views as you climb.
