Itinerary description

Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Théodore Monod. The trail moves north, in direction to Ribeira de Santa Clara, through a track that goes along the uneven coastline. Reaching the mouth of Santa Clara’s stream, a climb takes you to Cruz de Cônsul. In the end of the climb, it is possible to contemplate the gorge of Ribeira de Santa Clara that connects the island from the sea to its interior. The climb continues until the top of Angra’s Hill with its 577 metres high. A descending track along the cliff leads to Achada Lagoa, where the trail becomes more plane and with less vegetation. Following through a long but smooth climb, the trail arrives at Entre Picos de Reda, where it ends.
