Itinerary description
This somewhat deserted trail starts and finishes at two grand historical and religious places of Cyprus, early christian churches of Panagia tou Araka (XII cent) and Stavros tou Agiasmati (XV cent), both are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Trail difficulty can be rated as 2+ out of 3. The Trail is linear.
TERRAIN: Terrain is variable with some ascents and descents, some are steep but short. Trail is very picturesque and at least half goes through woods.
We started from Lagoudera village.
SIGNS: Actually it’s a bit complicated to find a way through the village but try to follow rare E4 signs. After the village the path is well marked with E4 signs and color spots, there are resting places and plants signs all the way to/from.
KIDS: walkable with teens and up
Parking is close to Panagia tou Araka church.
